The Safety Officer (SO) is a Command Staff member responsible for monitoring incident operations, identifying hazardous situations, and developing measures to ensure personnel safety. Key duties include exercising emergency authority to stop unsafe acts, reviewing the Incident Action Plan (IAP), and conducting hazard risk assessments.
